We’re looking for an experienced IT and security enthusiast with a deep understanding of Google Workspace architecture and best practices. Our infrastructure is mostly cloud based, but we do have some on-prem systems maintained by other teams. As an immediate need, you will create and deploy Google MDM policy and asset management software (self-hosted on LAMP stack). On a day to day basis, you will act as Google Workspace Admin (<50 users), work with various business units to create automated solutions within Google Workspace and other enterprise tools, manage users and Google SSO integrations with 3rd party apps like Slack, Notion, Teams, etc., and perform security audits and vulnerability scans on our networks.
Our teams run lean with minimal management, we expect every member to be able to self-manage, contribute and collaborate effectively to get the work done. Unlike many other companies, however, as a cybersecurity services provider, we are mostly technical people. This means you’ll always have some level of support and much advancement opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
Setup:
- Set up Google MDM and SSO for Notion, Slack, and other 3rd party apps within our Google Workspace ecosystem.
- Install a self-hosted asset management system on an AWS LAMP stack.
- Gather and document business requirements, formulate use cases, track requirements, provide status and ensure quality of solutions throughout the project.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation of systems and networks.
Maintenance Phase:
- Manage our ISMS (Information Security Management System), ensure general security measures, conduct vulnerability scanning, and handle patch management within Google Workspace and AWS.
- Assist with various infrastructure, IT, and admin needs specific to Google Workspace and AWS.
- Administer and maintain Google Workspace services.
- Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Implement and manage backup solutions and disaster recovery plans.
- Develop data retrieval and recovery procedures.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation of systems and networks.
- Provide training as needed.
- Ensure software and services comply with cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and maintain data confidentiality.
- Perform regular audits of all systems.
Experience & Qualifications
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or information technology, OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of experience as administrator with Google Workspace.
- Experience setting up/maintaining Google MDM solutions, asset management, and endpoint management.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to quickly pick up unfamiliar technology and apply to project/teach others.
- Ability to stay organized and manage one’s time efficiently.
- Demonstrates interest and knowledge in offensive and defensive cybersecurity and how to apply them.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of experience as administrator with Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with ISO 27001 & TISAX.
- Comfortable with Enterprise Resource Planning programs and tools.
- Strong computing and scripting skills.
- Professional Google Workspace Administrator Certification.
